Launching ceremony of new book by Gottfried Schatz

Professor Gottfried Schatz, world famous Swiss biochemist lectured on 12th November in the Mendel refectory of Augustinian abbey. He came to Brno to present the Czech edition of his book Jenseits der Gene: Essays über unser Wesen, unsere Welt und unsere Träume. On this occasion he sum up his points in the lecture WHY WE ARE NOT THE SLAVES OF OUR GENES. The book was then introduced by prof. Ing. Petr Dvořák, CSc., Vice-Rector of Masaryk University, prof. Klara Landau and dr. Alena Greminger. Štěpán Graffe, renowned violinist, presented two sonatas for solo violin as part of the music programme.
