Masaryk University Literary Festival

In Prague there is the Book World, in Havlíčkův Brod there is the Autumn Book Fair and in Brno we have Books in the Cinema. We cordially invite you to the University Cinema Scala for the first annual pre-Christmas meeting with authors, publishers and translators. You can take a look at new books of the co-organising institutions and maybe even buy some Christmas presents.

We have also prepared an accompanying programme. You can look forward to a lecture on life at the Mendel Polar Station in Antarctica, a talk on Czech statehood in the current turbulent times or a meeting with translator and well-known film subtitle dramaturge Anna Kareninová.
