Thanks to DOI services, Masaryk University's scientific publications have been visited by more than half a million readers

Nine years ago, Masaryk University Press was the first university publisher in the Czech Republic to join the CrossRef system for assigning DOI (Digital Object Identifier) codes, unique and persistent identifiers for scientific articles, scholarly monographs, book chapters, conference proceedings and other digital objects . Over the years, DOI has become a standard in scientific publishing.

Up to this day, Masaryk University has over 6,400 scientific publications with registered DOI codes.

The introduction of the Open Journals System (OJS), a university-wide content management system managed by Masaryk University Press, has made it easier for journal editors to assign and activate DOI codes in Crossref. As for the e-books, Munispace, the online Masaryk University reading room, is a convenient tool for DOI related services.
